Reporting Year 2023 By the Numbers

2023 was a huge year for us, as we filed more reports than ever before — including hundreds of bi/triennial RCRA hazardous waste reports — and we are truly grateful for our incredible customers that enabled us to do so.

Reporting Year 2023 By the Numbers

Throughout a year marked by significant regulatory changes undertaken by the EPA and heightened environmental awareness from the public, the Encamp team has stood as a pillar for companies navigating the complexities of compliance, ready to assist our customers through even the most complex reporting challenges.

Here’s a look at our impact, by the numbers:

EPCRA Tier II:

• 14,393 Tier II Reports Filed
• Top States for Reporting:
  • Texas led with 2,187 reports
  • Ohio followed with 1,649 reports
  • West Virginia coming in third with 903 reports
• A Record-Breaking Day:
  • On February 24, 2024, over 2,000 reports filed through Encamp!

• Chemical and Portals:

  • 94,023 chemicals were reported through Encamp
  • 9,098 pieces of compliance-related mail were sent, ensuring that LEPCs and Fire Departments have the information they need, when they need it

RCRA Hazardous Waste Reporting:

Reporting Year 2023 was truly special, as it marked the first year that we filed RCRA Hazardous Waste reports on behalf of our customers.

In all:

• 757 RCRA hazardous waste bi/triennial, annual, and quarterly filings were submitted
• 37,000,000 pounds of hazardous waste reported

What about fueling the team?

• It’s not just our technology firing on all cylinder during reporting season; our team does too! Untold amounts of coffee, and over 5 cases of energy drinks were consumed this year on the road to meeting the March 1st EPCRA Tier II and RCRA Biennial reporting deadlines.

Most Importantly, Thank You to Our Customers

As we reflect on an incredible 2023 at Encamp, we extend our deepest gratitude to our customers. Your trust and partnership have not only driven our growth but have also amplified our impact in meaningful ways. Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished together this year:

• Fees Managed:
  • 4,267 fees were paid through Encamp, cutting down on superfluous mail and ensuring document retention.
• Time Saved:
  • 88,564 hours of manual work were saved. This massive time savings means that teams were able to focus on what matters: ensuring the health and safety of their employees and communities.

Beyond these numbers, our partnership with you has contributed to significant environmental impacts. 

The Encamp and One Tree Planted Partnership

Our partnership with One Tree Planted continues to be a cornerstone of our commitment to the environment. For every Tier II report processed through Encamp, a tree is planted, linking organizational compliance with positive ecological action. This year, we are thrilled to announce that over 15,000 trees are being planted in national parks across the United States, with additional efforts focused on South America.

We have set an ambitious goal to plant 1,000,000 trees and as of now, we are proud to share that we are around 75,000+ trees planted. Each tree not only contributes to reforestation and habitat restoration but also symbolizes our collective commitment to the planet.

This initiative showcases how our technological solutions in compliance are intertwined with tangible actions for the environment, reinforcing the idea that what is good for business can also be good for the planet.
