Compliance Activated: Your Webinar Questions, Answered

Thanks to everyone who joined our recent Compliance Activated webinar. The Q&A was full of sharp, specific questions — the kind that come from people who live this work every day. We didn’t get to spend as much time on each as we’d have liked, so we pulled the most-asked questions together here, grouped them, and gave them the room to breathe.

If yours didn’t make the list, reach out anytime. We’d love to keep the conversation going.

What Environmental Programs Does the Encamp Compliance Platform Cover?

The Encamp Compliance Platform and Scout support every environmental regulation at the analysis, research, planning, and task layer. For end-to-end guided compliance, the full pipeline from data to agency submission, we currently cover chemical (EPCRA) and waste (RCRA) programs. Water and air are on the roadmap, with end-to-end support expected as we move through 2026 and into 2027.

Can Encamp Build New Modules for Programs You Don’t Yet Cover End-to-End?

We’re a guided environmental compliance partner, so our focus is on delivering complete workflows rather than empty building blocks for you to assemble. That said, customers regularly extend Scout for custom inspections, SOPs, and tasks. If you’re looking to manage a program we don’t yet support end-to-end, let’s talk. We may already be solving it with a similar customer.

Can Encamp Create Tasks and Reports for ISO 14001 or Other EMS Frameworks?

Yes. We’re actively building this out with early-moving customers, including ISO legal register support and the tasks and reports that document conformance. This isn’t fully out of the box today, but it’s moving quickly through Q3 and Q4.

Does Scout Handle Air Emission Regulations, Including Permits and Annual Reports?

Scout has the full environmental CFR, OSHA, and the state and local rules that often sit below federal law. For air permits, Scout already pulls requirements, inspection frequencies, and key dates from your permit documents. Emission factor computations and full annual reporting are in development, targeted for completion in early 2027.

Does the System Cover TSCA Items Like SNUR and Export Requirements?

Yes. TSCA is in Scout’s knowledge base, and our technical program team handles specific export capabilities as customer needs come up.

What About PFAS Reporting Requirements?

Scout has strong visibility into safety data sheets, list of lists, and PFAS specifically. Because Encamp supports SDS data thoroughly for Tier II, you already have a foundation to work from. We’re extending that support to more PFAS-specific reporting through the rest of this year and into 2027. If you’re digging into materials under the new federal rule, Scout is a real help.

Does the Platform Account for Local and State Variations Like DTSC and Local CUPAs?

Absolutely. This is the foundational layer that makes Encamp valuable. We’ve mapped compliance rules down to the jurisdiction and material level. Santa Clara County alone has four CUPAs, each with different data requirements, units of measure, and reporting characteristics. We track all of it so your team doesn’t have to.

How Does Insights Pull Data from ECHO?

Insights connects to several federal systems, including ECHO, on a regular cadence. We link your EPA IDs and FRS IDs to your facility portfolio, then surface NOVs, penalties, and enforcement actions across programs. You can also benchmark your performance against peers with similar NAICS codes — useful context for conversations with leadership.

Is Scout Using Perplexity? How Does It Compare to ChatGPT or Claude?

Scout uses frontier models from US-based providers — currently Claude Opus 4.7 with adaptive reasoning. What makes Scout different from a general-purpose assistant is the harness around the model: over 80 environmental compliance-specific tools, direct access to your Encamp data, and our codified thresholds and applicability rules. Every answer is cited, and Scout pulls from regulation text rather than guessing.

How Secure Is My Data When Using Scout?

We work only with US-based, tier-one AI providers under named enterprise agreements with no training on your data. Encamp is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, and we support your IT and procurement review processes directly.

Do You Have Redundant Data Backups?

Yes. Encamp runs on modern distributed cloud infrastructure with tier-one providers, multiple geographic locations, and full backup protocols built in.

How Does Pricing Work for AI? Are There Credits or Token Limits?

No credits, no tokens, no walls. AI capabilities are bundled into your Compliance Platform subscription. Our pricing model focuses on outcomes, so your team can use Scout as much as they need without worrying about overages or burning through a finite pool.

Are Scout’s Table Answers Exportable to Excel or PDF?

Yes. Every Scout response includes a copy button at the bottom that exports the entire answer as markdown. Paste it directly into Google Docs, Word, or Excel, and your tables format cleanly.

Can I Use My Own Inspection Forms?

Yes. Upload your existing forms or supporting documents within any task. In Q3, we’re rolling out Scout capabilities that will make it easier to build collections directly into the task itself.

How Are Task Reminders Delivered?

Three channels: in-platform notifications, email, and your existing calendar. Connect Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar through ICS and Encamp will mirror each user’s assigned tasks into their daily workflow.

Do You Support Customers in Canada or the EU?

Canada is on the near-term roadmap, starting with chemical and waste tracking and submissions. Mexico is also in scope as part of our North America expansion. The EU is on the longer-term roadmap, with no firm release dates yet. Current thinking points to late 2027 or 2028, starting with legal registers and risk operations before moving to full end-to-end submissions.

Does Encamp Help with Diagrams, Drawings, or Site Maps?

We support site map updates as a service when customers need them, but mapping technology isn’t a core part of our platform. If diagrams and drawings are central to your needs, we’d recommend evaluating tools built specifically for that work.

Does the Platform Talk to Other Systems Like SAP?

Yes. Our data services team works directly with customer IT to integrate Encamp with SAP, other ERPs, and existing environmental management systems. The goal is to pull material inventory and operational data once and use it everywhere, so your team isn’t rekeying information between systems.

What’s Next?

If you’re working through questions like these, you’re already looking ahead to what the back half of the year should look like. The choices you make between June and December will shape what RY26 reporting feels like in January. Sprint, or a steady climb.
