Environmental Compliance: The Encamp Culture

Companies throughout the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) industry offer great EHS careers. Some EHS firms even consider themselves “trailblazers.”

But not every company is reinventing the way businesses comply with environmental regulations. Nor have any of them created a first of its kind platform to do it. And not every solution is changing the environmental compliance landscape like the Encamp platform.

When it comes to trailblazers, Encamp really is setting a new course. So if you’re looking to blaze a new trail, our EHS careers path is where you come in.

Adventurous EHS careers at Encamp

Who we are

At Encamp, we’re a diverse and quickly growing team of difference makers. We’re also nature lovers and technology geeks. We call ourselves Encampers, and we’re passionate about protecting the environment though innovation.

For many of us, in fact, Encamp is an extension of our own EHS careers. In our previous compliance lives, we were environmental scientists, EHS managers, and consultants. Now, we’ve merged our EHS expertise with topnotch software engineers and business minds. We’ve also built some great teams of sales & marketing gurus and customer success specialists.

Where do you see yourself fitting in?

“I work with some incredible people at Encamp! I’ve never felt more empowered.”

Lesley Jones, CHMM, Senior Environmental Scientist

Why we started

If there’s anything to know about regulations and compliance in the EHS sector, it’s this. Red tape, paperwork, and reporting can be relentless. So we developed our digital platform to make data more visible and easier to manage. Companies also better understand environmental regulations, and fully automate reporting to ensure compliance.

Translated, Encamp has completely changed the way environmental compliance works. We’ve made the entire process faster, easier, and more accurate. And we’ve done it with a perfect mix of expertise and ingenuity.

“I love working with smart, friendly people to solve real world problems.”

Ben Jacobs, VP of Engineering

Our culture

The Encamp culture is all about autonomy, transparency, and teamwork. It promotes ownership and action, and ensures that everyone always has a voice. Individually and collectively, Encampers are constantly encouraged to put their knowledge and creativity to use. After all, it’s the best way to tackle challenges head-on.

But we’re not all work and no fun. We have virtual happy hours, gaming lunches, and holiday parties. Every Friday afternoon, we celebrate wins and accomplishments. We also have all-hands meetings to spread company news, and Zoom chats to talk about anything but work.

Perks of being an Encamper

Work where you want

Encamp is a “distributed first” team dialed into remote work. Our roots are in Indianapolis, Indiana, but prospective Encampers can pursue EHS careers with us from wherever they call home.

Competitive compensation

When passion and purpose drive your work, money isn’t everything. But it does help. So, you can count on a competitive salary and 401(k) matching contributions.

Work-life balance

We encourage a healthy balance between professional and personal life. There’s unlimited PTO to unplug and recharge, and paid parental leave to spend time with baby Encampers.

Wellness

A monthly health and wellness stipend helps Encampers pursue an active lifestyle. Think workout gear, exercise equipment, fitness classes, meditation apps, and more.

You’re covered

Choose from four health insurance plans to meet the needs of you and your family. We also offer big-company-like benefits, including dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.

Top-notch tech

You’ll receive a high-end Apple, Dell, or Lenovo laptop — your choice. Kit out your office with a headset, monster monitor, or comfy chair with a $1,200/year remote work stipend.

Diversity, equality, and inclusion

Encamp encourages and celebrates different voices and backgrounds as well as experiences. As an equal opportunity employer, we value diversity and inclusion, and view everyone equally.

Therefore, we don’t discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, or national origin. Neither do we discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status. This way, Encampers bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.

We make EHS careers inviting

A market projected to hit $85 billion in spending by 2027. A platform solution that’s still transforming the EHS industry. Encamp is growing rapidly, and our EHS careers path keeps expanding.
